 June 2008 IFA Ukraine organized the First Annual International Tax Conference, which main goal was to discuss and analyze the problems faced by businesses and their tax consultants in the area of international taxation.
The program of the Conference was designed to focus on the four major topics: Current International Tax Issues in Ukraine; Cross-Border M&A Transactions; Raising Financing in International Markets; Structuring Foreign Investments into Ukrainian Real Estate.
Leading specialists in tax and legal services form Deloitte, DLA Piper, Ernst & Young, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Konnov & Sozanovsky, KPMG, Lavrynovych & Parners, Magisters, and PricewaterhouseCoopers provided in-depth insight on a variety of international tax related topics.
There were a total of about 100 participants in the Conference, including tax advisors and finance executives both from Ukraine and abroad. The delivered presentations and discussions helped to identify key problematic areas for international taxation segment, and presented ways of improving key issues based on consideration of local developments, participants’ opinions and international practice.
